It is said that great fruit needs to struggle. The same can be said of people. 2020 will not be a summer that any of us will soon forget. Preparing to harvest during a global pandemic presented many challenges. That being said – we got to enjoy one of the best growing seasons in Niagara history. The summer was hot and dry during the day with cooler evenings to give the grapes an opportunity to rest.
We feel as though we’ve raised the bar in terms of concentration and complexity with this vintage of Rosé. Brimming with juicy cherry and watermelon notes – these juicy fruit flavours will feel like they are dancing on your tongue. Notes of pink grapefruit pith and soft rose garden make an appearance as the wine begins to finish.
Fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tank to maintain the freshness of the fruit flavours. There is nice balanced acidity that keeps this light on the palate – but lingering juicy fruit notes remind you that the 2020 summer was a hot one!
This was made with love by winemaker Adam Kern who hand squeezed the grapes that have ended up in the bottle.
This is Rosé – don’t make serving it complicated – Of course this pairs with food! Serve this whatever you want to eat you won’t be disappointed – but the ideal pairing is a second glass!
